Namaskaar. We take up verse 4 of the GITA DHYANA SHLOKAS with commentary by Smt. Jaya Row. This is a very popular verse, recited and quoted very often to explain the essence of the Bhagavad Gita.
All the Upanishads are the cows, the milker is Krsna the cowherd, Partha is the calf, those of pure intellect are the enjoyers and the supreme nectar, Gita, is the milk.
In this verse, the author gives us a metaphor. He compares the Upanishads with cows. All the Upanishads are the cows and the milkman is Krsna – the cowherd. Partha, another name of Arjuna, is the calf and those of pure intellect, genuine seekers of Truth are the beneficiaries of this divine knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita, the supreme nectar, the milk.
