JNANI HAS NO AHANKARA AND MAMAKARA
Nirmamah, one who is free from the sense of ‘mine,’ the sense that something belongs to him. This notion can remain even if one gives up all possessions, even if one is a sannyasi. He may not have any real estate or a bank account but he can still have the sense of ‘my body,’ ‘my mind,’ ‘my kamandalu.’ This sense of ownership, mamatva, goes only when ahankara, which expresses as ‘I am this much alone’ goes.
