Namaskaar. With this Part 16 we conclude the enumeration of Qualities of a Parabhakta in Verses #13-19 of Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita and commentary by our dear respected Pujya Swamiji.
Our teacher had said in one of the study classes that one should not try and straight away compare oneself with the highest level Jnani but at least try and make a small start and inculcate a few of these Qualities gradually as per one’s individual nature and mental make-up under guidance of a Guru. Swami Paramarthananda ji in one of his amazing lectures said that no one should lose heart and be dejected with these high qualities and feel that one will never be able to achieve them. He said that each one of us already has a lot of these qualities within us but we haven’t honed them to perfection. He further said that even to gain an educational degree like a masters or a PhD we start studying at a young age an for next 15-20 years or more. Same way we have to put in a concerted effort for spiritual study too which is really far more subtle 🙂
